Hi All,
Yesterday, at about 2 pm, there was a pretty big gathering of gardners, drivers, maintainence folks and Mr Medhappa (PMOA "Palm Meadows Owners Association" Admin) at the Villa opposite my Villa. I went there to see what was happening and they were witnessing (taking photos and videos) of a big snake swallowing a frog. I asked Mr Medhappa if a snake catcher has been called and he said NO as there was a PMOA rule that it the responsibility of the Villa owners. As this villa is empty and the snake was in the common area (not inside the villa) I asked Mr Medhappa to call a snake catcher and he said PMOA rules does not allow him to do it. I asked Mr Medhappa what would he do if the snake was on the road to which he replied "We would wait for the snake to go into a Viila area at which point it would become the responsibility of the Villa owners". I was shocked to hear about this bizarre rule or its interpretation. This is a SERIOUS SAFETY issue for all especiallly the kids who play in these areas and can PMOA come up with a clear policy on this.
I understand if a snake is within the walls of a Villa, but outside in the common areas PMOA should take responsibility, else we may see folks shooing snakes away from one villa to another :)
A neighbour of ours called us to say that they saw a big snake crossing the road (near our villa ) at 8:30 pm. It is probably the same snake enjoying the privilages of our INACTION on such a serious matter.....
Leider war ich nicht unter den Nachbarn, die das alles beobachtet haben und so hab ich auch kein Foto!! Aber man sieht, dass unser Leben hier manchmal tierisch aufregend sein kann!!
